Cleaning your wax melt burner.
Cleaning your wax melt burner
It is important to clean the wax melt burner safely. Here are a few things that you can try.
- The traditional way
There are two ways you can clean the burner-hot or cold method. If the wax is liquid, you can take some cotton balls and put them in the wax. Now, let the cotton absorb the wax. Once all the wax has been soaked, you can throw the cotton balls out. Now, take a paper towel and wipe off the leftover wax.
If the wax is cold and hard, then you can turn on the burner. It is easier to remove once it loosens a bit. You can remove it as a solid piece. You can use a scraper to remove the wax if it is hot to touch. Use a paper towel to wipe the burner thoroughly.
- Wax warmer linen or wax popper
This is also an easy way to remove wax and clean the burner. You can place a popper liner on the burner and then place the wax. You can use reusable or disposable Popper liners. These liners are completely leak-proof, and you can melt and enjoy the wax melt without worrying about dirtying the burner. It is the same with wax warmer linen. You can enjoy the scent without any fuss and, more importantly, without any mess.
- Silicone Dish Top
You can get a no-scrape silicone dish which is the easiest to clean. It is environmentally friendly, reusable, and washable. When you want to remove the used wax, you just let it cool a bit, and the rest of the job will be done by the silicone top. The material will not allow the wax to stick too hard, and removing it is easy. You can even place the silicone dish top in the freezer if you are in a hurry to clean it. Just a little tap from the back, and the wax will pop right out.
Tealight Or Electric Burner
If you have a tealight burner, then you need to use a fresh candle. Light it and place it under the wax. Please don’t leave it for too long, and 30 seconds are more than enough. This will loosen the wax from the sides. Use gloves or a kitchen towel to wrap your fingers and remove the wax.
If you are using an electric burner, it may take longer to clean the wax melt burner. Leave the light on for a few minutes or until you notice a bubble right in the middle. Immediately use a kitchen towel to take out the wax.
It is best to wait for the wax to cool down before you clean the burner. If it is too hard, then you need to warm it a little. Do not use any sharp object to remove the wax. It will scrape and damage the wax melt burner. After cleaning, inspect it for any cracks or other signs of damage. Wax melts are meant to soothe you, don’t let the cleaning part stress you. Do it the right way and get the best results.
